Cornwall, Vermont is a town located in Addison County, Vermont. Cornwall, VT was founded November 3, 1761. After the fall of Ticonderoga, the original settlers fled, but it was soon resettled in 1784 by 30 families from Connecticut. Famous people that either came from or lived in Cornwall include;Marietta College’s first president, Joel H. Linsley; attorney, congressman & seantor Solomon Foot; and the 51st Lieutenant Governor of Vermont, Abram W. Foote.
