Stratton Mountain – Was the home of the US Open Snowboarding Championships. Stratton Mountain Ski Resort is located near Manchester, Vermont, and the Village of Bondsville, and offers 35% novice trails, 37% intermediate trails, and 28% advanced trails. Stratton Mountain is known as the birthplace of snowboarding. Stratton was among the first Vermont ski areas that allowed snowboarding.
Getting There: Take 1-91 to Vermont exit 2 (Brattleboro), then Route 30 north to Bondville. Stratton Ski Resort is 4 miles from Bondville, 139 miles from Boston, 165 miles from Montreal, and 235 miles from New York City.
