Formerly known as the Vermont Expos, the Vermont Lake Monsters have been a member of the Montreal Expos and now the Washington Nationals baseball system since 1994. Vermont is the “Class A” short-season affiliate of the Washington Nationals. All players who play for Vermont are on loan from Washington. The season runs from mid-June to September. The mascot of the Vermont Lake Monsters is CHAMP, the lake monster that lives in Lake Champlain. CHAMP can be spotted at the games. The Vermont Lake Monsters provide family entertainment at family-friendly prices. The games are played in Winooski, Vermont just minutes from downtown Burlington.
