The private, non-profit Brattleboro Museum was founded in 1972. This is a non-collecting museum that features an ever changing collections of art and history. Brattleboro Museum is housed in the former Union Station – a building built for the Central Vermont and Boston and Maine Railroads in 1915 – 1916. The architecture is representative of the last generation of major railroad passenger stations in America. The Brattleboro Museum is located near the Connecticut River. There is a gift shop. Admission is charged.
