Vermont Rail Trails
VT Trails – Lamoille County Rail Trail System
Vermont is now part of the Rail Trail System with the Lamoille County Rail Trail, a fantastic multi-use path that was once an active Railway. A Railway is a conversion of a railroad track to a hiking, biking, snowmobiling path. Rail Trails are available in nearby NH, Connecticut and in other locations throughout the world. See Vermont’s scenic Green Mountain countryside by visiting the Lamoille County Rail Trail. This 4-season recreational trail runs from St. Johnsbury in the Northeast Kingdom, to Swanton. The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (LVRT) crosses eighteen Vermont towns along the route. The LVRT is one of the longest rail trails in New England. The former rail bed is a fantastic adventure ride or walk across one of the most picturesque regions of Vermont. Ask us about Vermont Rail Trails or share Vermont comments.
