There are many reasons to stay at the Paw House with your pet. Start with the location! Located near Vermont’s Killington Resort Area and Okemo Mountain, the Paw House is an ideal vacation destination. The home itself is worth visiting. Built in 1786 by Elijah Smith, this nine bedroom home retains much of its original architecture and charm. Imagine walking on the same floor that an 18th century business mogul did.

What about the dogs? Mitch and Jen have much to offer. Start with the custom made doggy bed in every room. The rooms are “tailproof” (just like home) so you can relax.

In the warmer months, explore hundreds of dog friendly activities from hiking trails, lakes and rivers, outdoor concerts, to farmers markets, sensational dog friendly restaurants and so much more. During the winter, enjoy many miles of dog friendly snowshoeing, cross country skiing and the downhill thrills at Killington, Pico, and Okemo.

The inn is designed for dog lovers who also enjoy their own creature comforts. The property features eight beautiful bedrooms (each with private bathrooms), dog friendly dining rooms, miles of hiking trails, common areas, a fenced in dog park, on-site agility course, custom built dog beds in every room – and Mario’s Playhouse – the inn’s on-site dog facility.
