One of the first commercial radio stations in the U.S. broadcasted from Waterbury, Vermont - WDEV-AM. The station (part of Ken Squier's Radio Vermont group)  is still broadcasting from Waterbury today. The WDEV radio tower array can be seen from I-89 near the Waterbury exit.
