An ideal reason to get off the highway and visit the picturesque Vermont town of Northfield is to shop for chocolates and hand made truffles at Vermont Chocolatiers. Vermont Chocolatiers owners Jane and Walter Delia have a delightful Cafe & Chocolate Shop, on East Street in Northfield. The cafe features Vermont Specialty Foods, individually brewed gourmet coffee by the cup and some of the finest handmade chocolates and truffles you'll find anywhere.
Fresh ingredients is the key, according to Jane - the chief chocolatier and truffle maker. "We use fresh, local Vermont cream, butter and flavorings whenever possible." The handmade chocolates and truffles are true works of art that will bring raves from any chocolate lover. The chocolates and truffles are all made fresh right on the premises. Vermont has several well-known chocolate makers. You probably heard of Champlain Chocolates of Burlington, or Laughing Moon Chocolates of Stowe.
