One of the most westerly towns in Vermont, West Haven borders New York state to the west and Fair Haven to the east.

In 1758 a bloody battle took place here between the Indians and white settlers. Now a quiet agricultural community, West Haven enompasses an area of 17,984 acres. The Devil's Bowl Speedway is located here.
