Sutton was originally named Billymead but it was renamed in 1812 when "Billy" became a "drunkard, bully and a nuisance." Today Sutton is known for some spectacular scenery. This rural community has large farms and hundreds of acres of woodland. Sutton sets high on the top of a hill with distant views of Burke Moutain. Sutton is home to the Sutton School.
