The town of Hartford is located on the Connecticut River on the New Hampshire border. Hartford is probably more known for the hamlet it hosts, Quechee. The Woodstock Rail Road once crossed Quechee Gorge on the highest railroad bridge in the northeast, that bridge is now a highway bridge.
