Hancock was settled in 1788, but very few people have lived here in the past. Being part of the Green Mountain National Forest, this town is known more for hiking trails. Here you will find Texas Falls Recreation Area, the Hancock Branch Trail, and the Long Trail runs through this town. Also here is the Hancock Overlook just north of town.
