East Haven is one of the remaining virgin woodland regions of New England. Located just south of Island Pond (Brighton), this mostly wooded area is home to many deer, moose, bear and other wildlife. Some year round residents live "off the grid" (without electricity) in an area called "Lost Nation" - located on the east side of East Haven.
