Berlin was named for the German city, and was the home of Daniel Thompson who authored "The Green Mountain Boys".
Berlin is seated next to Montpelier and Barre, and is a common shopping district for both of those towns. The Berlin Mall, and the Central Vermont Medical Center is located here. Berlin Pond is located here, where people come to bike or walk around it.
