Adamant is an unincorporated village in Calais, Vermont. Situated on the town line between Calais and East Montpelier, there is no true boundary to define the village, this brings much debate among the residents as to which town they are actually in. Since there is no legal, governmental or commercial status associated with the residence the debate is holds no weight and residents shrug it off simply stating "Adamant is a state of mind".
