The Northeast Kingdom of Vermont stretches like a vast country unto itself from north of Montpelier, the capital of Vermont, up to the Canadian border.  Here you will find Vermont in all its pristine glory, untainted by the encroachment of the strictly mercantile world.  Family values, small farms, and laughing children thrive here. Piebald cows, mules, and horses dot the green hillsides, and the corn in the fields really is, as the saying goes, knee high by the fourth of July.  This is a rural and beautiful region and a great place to spend the summer.
