Mount Snow is located on Rt. 100 in West Dover, Vermont. Mt. Snow is easily accessible from New York, Connecticut, and Massachusetts via I-91 and Rt. 9. Mt. Snow is no longer part of Haystack Mountain and now offers 80 Trails and 588 acres of skiing and snowboarding terrain.
Mount Snow/Haystack is the largest ski resort in Vermont located near major metropolitan areas such as New York City, Boston, Albany, and Hartford.
Gentle beginners' slopes, blue cruisers, challenging black diamonds, technical tree terrain, four freestyle terrain parks and a Superpipe guarantee there is something for everyone. The Main Mountain is the heart of resort activities and events. Twelve lifts access the varying terrain, including the majority of learning terrain. More advanced skiers and riders will enjoy the 12 trails and two lifts on the North Face. The Sunbrook area, on the south face of the mountain, features10 trails serviced by 2 lifts with great open-trail skiing and riding, especially on those sunny days. Carinthia offers some steep pitches like Mine Shaft and Lower Nitro, but also has a good variety of terrain for those looking to mix it up.
Getting There: Take I-91 to Vermont exit 2, then Route 9 west 19 miles to Route 100, and Route 100 north 9 miles to Mount Snow. The Mt. Snow Resort is 68 miles from Albany, 117 miles from Hartford and 213 miles from New York. Driving times average 2.5 hours from Boston, 4 hours from New York City and 1.5 hours from Albany.
