A Favorite Pumpkin Bread Recipe
From the kitchens of Vermont Living Magazine

Ingredients Directions
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 16 oz. can pumpkin
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp clove

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In large bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and mix until well blended.

Pour into loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.  Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees and bake for 1 hour.

Makes 2-3 loaves, depending on pan size.
