Winter Life
Frozen Flora
stand starkly,
sterile,
unyielding
to fauna
who search
for sustenance.
Solitary sentry
stands guard
far above,
diligent eyes
searching,
for movement.
Haiku Poems:
Creeks rise as snow melts;
calves kick up their heels in glee
as the sun warms again.
Freshly mown hay fields
adorned by white marshmallows,
bundles of fodder.
Spring:
skunk and
cow manure.
Following instinct
jerseys file to the barn,
full udders swaying.
