Special Thanks to April Perkins for this contribution. LiveI know you hurt, dear, from the pain you hold so near. Don't be afraid, let it surface, let it show. I know it's scary, but please don't tarry. Although it's hard to forgive and forget, you need to try so you can live happily. Those bad feelings, don't doubt there is healing. Your soul is sweet, your soul is kind, don't let yourself fall behind. Don't look high, don't look low. Healing can occur, just say a prayer, and it begins -- healing from within. Be it fast, be it slow, your heart will begin to glow. So don't block those blessings, let them in. Hold out your hands, let them fall in. Please don't be bitter, don't be blue, eyes look down upon you and smile from the skies that glitter bright on a cold winter's night. Let your sadness melt away, like snow on a new spring day. Let your beauty blossom bright. Don't be afraid, it will be alright. Please don't fret, you can bet, you have a lot to give -- if you only allow yourself to Live. by April Perkins Vermont Living Magazine - Poetry Section Index Share your words, e-mail to Vermont Living for publication
