The State of Vermont would like to honor your environmentally friendly actions. If you have taken the time to conserve and protect natural resources or help prevent pollution - you may win.
Applications are being accepted through Friday, January 20, 2012 for the Vermont Governor's Awards for Environmental Excellence.
Applications are encouraged from individuals, business, industry and trade or professional organizations, Environmental, Community and Non-Profit Organizations, Hospitals, Municipalities, Schools, Teachers, Students and Public Agencies.
The Vermont Governor's Awards began in 1993 to recognize the actions taken by Vermonters to conserve and protect natural resources, prevent pollution, and promote environmental sustain ability.
More than 175 award-winning efforts have thus far been recognized. Environmentally friendly projects help to protect the environment, conserve energy and reduce greenhouse gasses.
