Vermont Produce
Fruits & Vegetables at Farmers Markets

Where do you find the freshest local produce from the farm? The Farmer's Market of course! Many small local grower and mid-sized Vermont farmers bring their vegetables, fruits and berries to the local Vermont Farmer's Market. There are many of these "shopping centers" all over Vermont. You'll find an assortment of locally grown fruits and vegetables, handcrafted items, some organic produce, and always a new surprise.

The selection varies with the season, and the values are usually quite substantial. Vermont Living thanks you for supporting our friends at Vermont's interesting Farm Markets. Below is a list by month of what would be in season at a farmers market. Keep in mind that this is only what is typical. Weather and when a crop was planted may cause it to ripen earlier or later. Some places also use greenhouses which helps to lengthen the growing season.
