Alburg Recreational Rail Trail, Alburg to East Alburg, VT - 6 Mile Trip - Easy Rating
Located in the northern-most region of Lake Champlain's Grand Isles, this remote trail starts in the center of Alburg and travels east to East Alburg, and offers abundant wildlife viewing. Once a vibrant railroad route, the track bed is now covered with fine cinder providing a flat trail used for mountain biking and hiking in summer, and snowmobiling and cross-country skiing in winter.
Burlington Waterfront Bikeway, Burlington, VT - 7 Mile Trip - Easy Rating
This fairly flat urban trial winds through several parks along Burlington's Lake Champlain waterfront. With an asphalt surface it is a popular trail with hikers and road bikers. Motorized vehicles or horses and not allowed on the trail.
Underhill Circle Trip, Underhill, VT - 25 Mile Loop - Difficult Rating
This road biking trip follows SR 15 North to Cambridge before turning South onto the Pleasant Valley Road to Underhill Center where it turns right onto River Road and returns to the starting point. Offering excellent views of Mt. Mansfield and country scenery.
